What we’re building at Asylia

One app for the important information in your life. Here is the purpose behind it, and the first things we are focusing on.

Asylia’s home overview design: 70% of essential documents saved, with passport and home insurance reminders.
Inside Asylia

Asylia is an app in development for important documents, health details, and insurance papers. We want people to know what is in place, take care of what is missing, and have somewhere to turn when they need that information.

It is a practical purpose. A lost passport, an insurance question, or a difficult day helping someone else can turn a small missing detail into a much larger problem. Preparing beforehand can make that detail easier to find.

Gather the essentials

The first part of the experience is a home for the information that matters to you. The examples on our website include insurance papers, passport copies, health information, and important contacts.

Different lives call for different collections. Someone living alone may be preparing for themselves and a trusted friend. A family may be thinking about information they use together. Someone caring for another person may need a different arrangement again.

We’re designing around that variety rather than assuming that everyone has the same household or support network.

See what needs attention

The app designs show a readiness overview and reminders for items such as a passport and home insurance. The intention is to help people see what is already gathered and what needs updating.

A progress indicator should help you understand your collection. It should not suggest that having a particular percentage makes someone safe or fully prepared for every situation.

That distinction matters to us. We want the product to make the next useful action clearer, without turning preparedness into a score that promises more than it can deliver.

Prepare together, with choice

Some information is personal. Other information becomes more useful when the right person can reach it.

The planned sharing experience lets people choose what they share and with whom. It also allows them to keep information that others share with them. Each person would control their own sharing and be able to stop it.

Build trust carefully

Our planned protections include encryption, an extra sign-in check, and independent security testing before the first release. These are development commitments and review priorities, not a claim that the product has already passed those checks.

The screens on the website are actual app designs in development. They show the direction of the product, rather than a released service you can use today.

Follow the work as it takes shape

Shawn, Chris, and Shivan are building Asylia together. We’ll use this blog to explain useful preparation ideas and share the thinking behind the product.

We’re working toward an early version in 2027, starting in the United States. That remains a development target. You can join the launch list to hear about our progress and when the app is ready.
